The Program Manager, Patient Safety coordinates the patient safety program within a facility-based setting and serves as an advocate for patient safety by assessing, developing, assisting with implementation, evaluating and providing oversight for strategies, programs and services that reduce patient risk and optimize patient safety.
In this role, the selected candidate will assist in the development and implementation of Corporate EHS strategic initiatives; ensure EHS programs are effective, efficient, and ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations and company standards.
In this role, the selected candidate will develop an Audit Procedure/Protocol for assessing the facilitys compliance with OSHA requirements pertaining to the Physical Manufacturing Areas (based on use). Conduct Physical Audit Inspection on a periodic basis (annually or every 2 years) and document results in form of a report with any recommendations or concerns.
The Health and Safety Manager reports to the Plant Manager and Manager of Global EHS. The HS Manager is responsible for all Health & Safety (HS) programs, procedure development, training development, and work practices at the facility.
In this role, the selected candidate will develop, implement and support programs to train managers and employees in safety practices, lock out tag out, fire prevention, correct handling techniques of chemicals, equipment and other materials.
