The Mechanical Engineer will design and specify HVAC, plumbing and other mechanical systems for commercial and industrial projects; plan, design, and engineer HVAC, air distribution, plumbing and piping systems.
This position will primarily be paint process oriented with focus on process definition, process improvement, process efficiency, quality and reduce cost while globally aligning with customer initiatives.
Ensure equipment is performing effectively & efficiently, analyzing equipment operating data when available Create & maintain process documentation, setup spare parts for production equipment Train personnel on current & new processes/equipment. Assist & train personnel on maintenance techniques.
Responsible for clear and tractable document control in accordance with established policies and procedures, including utilizing management systems to create/track rfis, transmit/track submittals, compose agreements and maintain project expediting list.
Individual will be responsible for leading a multi-disciplined engineering team. Work closely with the Program Manager, assigned engineering team, manufacturing, quality and other departments as necessary to expedite project completion and most importantly meet the customer expectations.
Support and develop the use of statistical techniques, develop validation protocols, qualify first articles, complete process capability studies & process validation on both internal & supplier processes.
Investigate component cost and weight reduction, and conduct feasibility for packaging electrical components and brackets throughout the vehicle as well as managing development projects, negotiating development & purchasing strategies, and coordinating with other departments, suppliers, and manufacturing.
Work closely with the program manager, assigned engineering team, manufacturing, quality and other departments as necessary to expedite project completion and most importantly meet the customer expectations.
Develop control system design drawings, control sequence of operation descriptions and equipment operating procedures, bills of materials, and be the primary electrical/electronic controls contact person in support of technical assistance in the installation, operation, and maintenance.
In this role, the selected candidate will work with successful company assisting in layout, assembly, developing and monitoring processes, ability to make decisions and within a year, the possibility to move into a manager role.
