Assists with quantifying tax accounting impact of A) annual processes, including maintenance of domestic deferred tax inventory and return-to-accrual processes, and B) ad-hoc demands, including the impact of audits, tax audit payables, and uncertain tax positions.
Additional responsibilities will include researching technical issues, maintaining strong client service, coordinating client meetings and correspondence, and assisting with the development of our client base.
Support team with a variety of data analytic tasks including: data collection/retrieval from source systems, data loading/normalization, testing for accuracy/completeness, analysis/modeling, and reporting/communicating results.
Coordination and oversight of annual tax return preparation with external tax preparers. Includes gathering necessary information, responding to questions, and review of state and federal tax returns and Schedule K-1s.
Prepare and review quarterly and annual tax provision per ASC 740 with assistance from tax staff accountant; review and coordinate preparation of Federal and State income tax returns with outside firm.
Maintain professional and technical knowledge to stay abreast of changes and advancements by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
The Tax Analyst will also gain exposure to various multistate and international tax issues, while being a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills and must be able to handle multiple projects concurrently.
Considerable knowledge of a variety of state and local tax laws, including multi-state income tax planning, compliance, preparing returns, income tax accounting, controversies, restructuring, due diligence and audit defense.
