The Quality Control Test Engineer analyzes and understands how the software is used by end users, designs test cases to achieve thorough coverage of the product features and modules, and executes these tests to ensure the software product shipped to production is of high quality with few defects.
The Software Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for creating, implementing and automating testing in support of software test requirements. The SQA Engineer develops and expands test suites and test cases, and maintains the automation infrastructure. In addition, the SQA Engineer will execute and report on planned tests, report and manage defects, regress software fixes for new and existing products, assist development with replicating and debugging problems and develop new test automation solutions as needed.
Load the test cases into their automation tool. (They use QC Vera, this is not a requirement, they will provide training on the tool) This tester will then be documenting the defects and communicating them back to the team.
As a QA Developer you will be working within the Product Release team in the Products & Services department; focusing on testing of the product packages and content, either by manual testing or use of testing tools.
Design, develop, implement and maintain automated and manual test plans to address areas such as load testing, functional testing, unit testing, regression testing, negative testing, integration testing, error or bug retests, or usability.
