Work closely with business leader (GM) and Go To Market team to understand business goals and key priorities; Merchandising strategy should reflect these priorities (key partnerships, new products/services).
The Senior Planning Manager, Merchandising Strategy is responsible for optimizing merchandising strategy across the LivingSocial business. This senior manager will lead maximization efforts across multiple areas of focus including but not limited to: merchandising mix and focus, promotion planning, scheduling, market and partner targeting and prioritization, promotion optimization, consumer marketing creative and messaging, and market strategy.
Develops product positioning, pricing, & strategies from ideation through commercialization; aligns management to seasonal and overarching plans; analyzes retail trends, competitive lines, category pricing, and research data.
The person in this role understands and leverages customer needs to create winning strategies for product positioning, development, and pricing. They defines and translates strategies into initiatives that will result in accelerated market share and profit growth.
