This DBA will be monitoring, advising, and addressing performance issues in the SQL database, looking at the database from a performance perspective, addressing and rectifying compatibility issues, and working directly with the development team to determine the logic behind how the applications are performing on the database.
Must be able to analyze data and their relationships in a foreign EIS system, understand the grain of data and which attributes they hang of, and then correctly define the grain in the target data mart.
The role is also responsible for the teams that plan, design, implement and manage the end to end functions including data architecture, data hub/lake architecture and implementation, integration development, data services design and development, and BI development and self-service analytics enablement.
Responsible for the identification and resolution of information flow, content issues and the transformation of business requirements into logical data models. This position identifies opportunities to reduce data redundancy, trends in data uses and single sources of data.
The successful candidate will be a highly knowledgeable and experienced SQL Developer and DBA, with solid communications skills and ability to multitask and prioritize. Previous experience working for a trading firm would be extremely beneficial in this role.
Develop ETL processes for new data sources and build new SSRS reports for traders, compliance and accounting departments; provide performance tuning, maintenance and optimization of existing stored procs, SSIS packages, and SSRS reports.
