In this role, the selected candidate will be responsible for incorporate into control panel software all key systems including motors, actuators, sensors, motion controls, vision systems, HMIs, PLCs and other devices.
Provide support to the buildings, roads and grounds, equipment and utility systems of Redstone Arsenal operations, maintenance, repair and construction activities involving requirements for electrical engineering expertise.
In this role, you will design, test, integrate, program, and modify electrical controls and power distribution systems used in Automated Storage and Retrieval Mechanisms such as Linear and Circular Sorters, Garment Hanger Solutions, Load Racks, Pick and Place Robots, and Transport Vehicles and Conveyors.
Build test automation and tools for validating our applications.Develop specific test cases and test code for validating our applications.Analyze test results to ensure that application features meet requirements.
Establishes gage calibration procedures. Recalls gages for calibration at a predetermined time period, includes coordination with outside laboratories if required. Assures that gages re calibrated, identified and gage records are updated and placed on file.
Responsible for developing control strategies for manufacturing processes throughout the value stream. Primary improvement focus efforts will span safety, quality, delivery, inventory and productivity alike.
Work with other technical groups including information systems, data reduction and data analysis software developers; collaborate with software developers at other international facilities and from the scientific user community.
Execute the test cases, identify defects, classify and raise defects, participate in defect triages.
Prepare the testing metrics of the project and track the metrics with respect to the organization goals.
Participates in advanced product quality activities. Supports product/process changes to meet customer requirements on several prime contracts. Analyzes reports and returned products and recommends corrective action. Prepares documentation for inspection/testing procedures.
Use advanced characterization techniques such as synchrotron X-Ray diffraction, neutron diffraction, and atom probe tomography to characterize phase transformations occurring during additive manufacturing of structural materials
