Troubleshoot & support networking concepts and protocols such as: BGP, OSPF, VLAN/PVLAN, STP, HSRP/VRRP, IP sub-netting, and routing while increasing your understanding of a wider set of protocols and advanced technologies.
Analyze security event logs from network security devices (e.g., network and host-based security systems, firewalls, routers, switches, etc.) and mission critical servers for indicators of compromise and known attack patterns; support development and dissemination of computer network defense (CND) alert and notification messages to warn customers of threats and provide guidance for countermeasures to defend against identified threats.
The candidate will review data originating from or reflecting status of, ongoing intrusions or cyber security incidents and document the findings of apparent activities involved and any intrusive or damaging activity involving compromised hosts.
The selected individual will be a part of a group and responsible for the management of task and Incident queues and to work with remote technicians and customers to complete work and maintain appropriate work detail log entries.
In this role, the selected candidate will maximize network performance by monitoring performance; troubleshooting network problems and outages; scheduling upgrades; collaborating with network architects on network optimization.
The candidate works in close coordination with the Network Design Engineering Lead, project managers, and other service area representatives to coordinate team network design and implementation efforts.
The network engineer will be responsible for overseeing the design, installation, configuration and maintenance of large-scale enterprise retail network infrastructure; responsibilities will also include assisting in the maintenance of existing network infrastructure in both Datacenters.
