In this role, you will be responsible for planning for new business with applicable equipment and plant space needs, capital equipment programs, tooling, CNC machining and assembly operations, new product launches, new processes.
Interfacing with stakeholders including manufacturing, polishing, and electro forming teams as well as with key project scientists and engineers to ensure strong team interaction and high productivity.
In this role, the selected candidate will be responsible for incorporate into control panel software all key systems including motors, actuators, sensors, motion controls, vision systems, HMIs, PLCs and other devices.
Management responsibilities include supervision of design and drafting staff, coordination with clients and associates, and organization of design and construction administration activities to meet established schedules and budgets.
Work with a team of engineers and designers to design or select hardware components, develop CAD models of structures and mechanisms, develop detailed fabrication and assembly drawings, and provide fabrication support to shop personnel.
The selected candidate will be responsible for leading design efforts supporting mechanical system development, fabrication, and deployment. The successful candidate will interface with principal investigators, management, engineers, fabricators, and test campaign personnel.
