The Power & Recovery Superintendent leads process operations of the Department. This position is responsible of creating a safe work environment, executing and continuously improving the quality, productivity, efficiency and cost of the operation.
Maintain continuous, open communication with the project management team, client representative and subcontractor and perform quality control inspections and review plans and specifications for quality assurance.
Participate with the project manager in preparing a schedule of construction activities and their sequence, the organization structure, staff selection, and the manpower and construction equipment requirements of the project.
Assigned to a field construction organization in a general or single discipline supervisory position. Responsible for supervising and directing activities of construction craftsmen within an assigned area of responsibility.
In this role, the selected candidate will ensure work is performed in accordance with plans, specifications, and local building codes; maintain project documentation to include daily reports and job site progress photos.
Plans, directs, and coordinates activities of construction workers and subcontractors at the project site to ensure that goals and objectives of project are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters by performing the following duties personally or through personnel assigned to assist.
Responsible scheduling, coordinating and supervising subcontractors on site and performing work in accordance with scopes of work and drawings, specifications and adhering to OSHA regulations, State laws and maintaining a safe working environment.
Administer and implement Labor relations (CBA) through consultation with the Human Resource and Mill Managers; develop annual budgetary proposals standards for cost measurement in collaboration with the Production Manager.
