This position will be responsible for leading all safety and general environmental activities for (5) plants located on the East Coast totaling (200) non-union employees. The role report into a VP General Manager with a dotted line reporting structure into Corporate EHS.
The Safety Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and coordinating the company health and safety program, site specific safety plan, first aid and fire prevention/protection programs on the project level.
Work cross functionally with communications, public policy, marketing, product policy, security ops, engineering and programs to elevate influence knowledge and understanding of all the work being done to ensure the online safety of our community.
Provide leadership, guidance, and direction to executive level leadership, directors, managers, supervisors, and other professionals to ensure corporate compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
Develop or acquires custom tools or systems to address specific issues. Leads the overall process of plant engagement with safety and environmental and develops any corresponding teams to support execution of the work activities that drive process improvements and control.
