Responsible for the full scope of services, which fall under his/her field of training, including but not limited to diagnosis, treatment, coordination of care, preventive care and health maintenance, to patients.
Clinical decision making in collaboration with physicians and daily prioritization of activities.
May supervise and/or coordinate the activities of other medical and support staff as it relates to patient care.
The practitioner will be assigned to a specific location every day; routine assignments include outpatient surgical setting (ASC), inpatient surgical setting (core hospitals) and KP office locations which will be determined by the Area Service Chief.
The NP/PA will join outstanding staff of Board Certified Physicians and certified mid-levels to demonstrate extraordinary diagnostic and therapeutic skill, encompassing both physiatry and anesthesiology, to provide patients with the most comprehensive approach available.
The PA will support the newly aligned Acute Care Surgery Service. The PA will also be responsible for performing high-quality clinical practices and effective patient management, under physician supervision, in accordance with state regulations, including primary and secondary specialty care in clinical and/or surgical practice settings.
The Chair will develop innovative approaches to enhancing the departments research initiatives and clinical practice and will partner with fellow chairs to advance interprofessional education and collaborative practices.
