The Director of Human Resources is responsible for short and long term planning of the HR function. This means leading strategically and tactically in the areas of workforce planning, recruitment and staffing strategies, wage and salary administration, associate and labor relations, benefits, workforce training and development and local diversity initiatives.
The primary responsibility of this position is to work closely with the business leaders in the new Richmond Research Center to develop and implement human resource initiatives that are aligned to business plans.
In this role, the selected candidate will act as the face of HR for the Americas and will be responsible for senior level decision making, including the day-to-day management and strategic direction of HR.
In this role, the selected candidate will assist with tactical HR functions such as; staffing, compensation, I-9 compliance and labor relations; assist with organizational development, training, faculty and staff assistance and benefits.
In this role, you will ability to drive that vision to reality. You should enjoy spending time in the market to understand industry challenges, identifying innovative solutions, and participating in industry events as a thought leader and contributing to industry standards.
In this role, you will lead and participate in cross organizational teams (SHRM.org redesign, CA Strategy Team, Talent Management Strategy Team) to contribute and to influence SHRM's products and services.
In this role, the selected candidate will necessitate flexible scheduling such as working over, extra hours, off-shift, weekend, holiday, on-call, etc. in accordance with department policy or procedures and as required of hospital leadership roles.
