The Senior Contracts Specialist will support the customer requirements in all aspects of pre-award and post-award contract administration, including market research, providing business advice to customers, preparing acquisition and award packages, including all related acquisition documents.
Obtains on behalf of the Contracting Officer appropriate data from business and technical officials. As required by the lack of meaningful cost and price information, explores new or innovative contracting approaches to suggest an equitable contract arrangement.
In this role, the selected candidate will support development of negotiation positions and assist in negotiations to finalize acceptable contractual arrangements. Prepare approval supporting documents that provide details for agreements reached during negotiations (e.g. price negotiation memorandum).
In this role, you will conducts negotiation and administration of government prime contracts and subcontracts to other prime government contracts. In addition, may include other agreements such as teaming agreements, non-disclosure agreements, etc.
Maintain detailed and organized files. Enter into the contracts database the reporting and status of contractor and owner deliverables. Maintain an audit file for each contract which will include original contract; all correspondence; changes/deviations; amendments; clarifications; payment schedules.
Lead cradle-to-grave contract activities, such as conducting market research, preparing solicitation documentation (pre and post award), reviewing proposals for compliance, performing cost/price evaluations, assisting with negotiating positions, reviewing and processing invoices.
Provide acquisition support in all phases of the acquisition process to the Program Office at the SES leadership level for Mission Services Office (MSO) and Contracts Management Office (CMO) at Defense Advanced Research Project Agency (DARPA).
