This position is responsible for the implementation of the companys safety and loss prevention programs. Ensures jobsite employees and subcontractors are trained in all safety programs and protocol, including federal/state regulations, in order to prevent accidents and/or injuries.
This position is responsible to plan, direct and implement organizational safety programs to ensure safe, healthy, and accident-free work environment; reduce and eliminate work related injuries and illnesses; develop / maintain a comprehensive filing system for documents pertaining to compliance with OSHA.
Supports creation of EHS goals for the site manager and appropriate activity based goals for the leadership team, functional managers, and front-line supervisors to drive EHS culture, compliance, and results.
Work with corporate claims staff to ensure that all liability and workers compensation claims are handled promptly and effectively and in an effort to reduce financial liability as well as recoup on all subrogatable claims.
Advise site management regarding the establishment of Environmental, Health & Safety objectives, plan activities to achieve those objectives, and integrate Environmental, Health & Safety into the site culture.
