Directs the timely development of new and existing packaging through concept, design, testing, tooling and pilot production in accordance with cost specifications and coordinates these efforts with international company and vendor resources for all Wiring Devices products.
Lead and manage all procurement and materials management activities including order placement, supplier reduction/evaluation/certification, supplier follow-up, price negotiation and compliance with government procurement regulations.
Directly responsible for a large department or unit of greater than 25 employees; in addition to staff, incumbent directly supervises one or more supervisors and/or assistant managers who assist incumbent with managerial responsibilities.
Develop and maintain effective client and customer rapport for mutually beneficial business relationship. Deliver and model WEST as the foundation for delivering excellent customer service. Identify client needs and effectively communicate operational progress.
The ideal candidate will have experience with ERP implementation, management of Systems and Networks, managing projects, leadership and communications (team building and supervision), organizational effectiveness (culture of continuous improvement).
The individual will collaborate with Enterprise Architecture, Technical Directors, Project Managers, and Project Team members to validate the proposed architecture solution in order to enable the team to provision estimates, develop construction plans and prepare implementation approaches.
May effectively manage staff to achieve performance standards, develop and motivate staff to achieve effectiveness; mentors, trains and shares high level knowledge. Ensures staff demonstrates appropriate customer service attitudes.
