As a Senior Software Engineer in Data Platforms, you will help design, build and support the underlying data architecture for all of ESPNs sports, content and consumer data that serve our business and 112 millions of fans across the globe on digital and broadcast with millisecond latency.

While the role does require the typical experience with platforms such as PHP, Ruby on Rails or Python and MySQL, it also requires solid experience with network protocols such as IPSEC, QoS protocols and strong TCP/IP experience as well.

The Software Engineer will work with customers and staff to gather, clarify and define requirements for custom feature requests. You will be responsible for translating requirements into well written, well-documented code implementing industry-based best practices and standards.
Help identify and address any security risks within the PDM application in regards to IP protection; assist with keeping the PDM system up to the latest technologies to ensure compatibility with all computer and mobile based web browser versions.
Performs research, analysis, design, creationand implementation of applications to meet current and future userrequirements. Defines and creates thenext generation of solutions to drive Marriott value.
