In this role, the selected candidate will be responsible for participating and facilitating staff participation in nursing and organizational policy formulation and decision making; evaluating the quality and appropriateness of patient care.
In this role, you will includes dedicated orthopedics spaces, including: two inpatient operating rooms with related pre-operative and recovery space and 19 inpatient beds scheduled to open in the new stamford health hospital tower by year-end 2017, with the opportunity for expansion.
In this role, you will provide supervision of licensed and unlicensed personnel and act as a resource for nursing and ancillary staff on the assigned unit. Supervise unit operations in collaboration with the nurse manager.
Communication with claimants, medical professionals, claims staff and others to obtain information necessary to make sound medical decisions. In addition, responds to various written, telephone and/or in-person inquiries regarding status of case.
The Nurse Manager is responsible for all aspects of nursing service delivery in the facility. This role assumes responsibility as Clinical Manager of PACU and is also responsible for the Infection Control, Policies, Regulatory Requirements, Quality Improvement, Risk Management Program and Education Coordinator for the facility, as well.
