The primary responsibilities of this position will be in the teaching and clinical training of DMD students in the management of patients with complex medical conditions. Additionally, ability and interest in teaching a pre-doctoral Orofacial Pain curriculum is highly desirable.
The individual in this position will perform research in biomedical informatics, bioinformatics, biostatistics, systems biology, or a related field, and engage in collaborations with others at UConn Health and the Storrs Campus of UConn, area hospitals, and the Jackson Laboratory for Genomic Medicine.
Provides full-range of administrative support to include: manages multiple Outlook calendars with expertise; plans and coordinates a variety of meetings and events, such as staff meetings (including recording of action items) and a variety of recurring events with other groups inside and outside of Pfizer when necessary.
In this position you will teach and precept residents, fellows, and medical students as part of your faculty responsibilities and may be assigned other duties and responsibilities as necessary (e.g. committee memberships, laboratory section oversight etc.).
Teach medical students, medical residents, and neurology residents and fellows in outpatient clinic and John Dempsey Hospital;perform consultations and admit Neurology patients to John Dempsey Hospital.
Responsible for coordinating day to day execution of study activities related to screening, follow-up/repeat/final visits, as well as financial responsibilities for study participants and collaborating with the clinic team to ensure that recruitment, screening, and follow-up/repeat/final visit procedures are carried out properly following ICH GCP, scientific, medical, and ethical principles, within regulatory requirements/guidelines, and standard operating procedures.

Participate in the highly interactive and cooperative culture established by the partnership between JAX-GM and company;old a joint faculty appointment at JAX-GM and tenure track/tenured appointment in the appropriate academic Department at UCONN HEALTH, and will work in the new, state-of-the-art JAX-GM facility.
This position will also provide administrative and project support to the various business units and requires technical competence in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint with a high level of focus on quality, attention to detail and accuracy.
