As an Applications Engineer, you will be responsible for coordinating, planning, designing and installing machinery or equipment in an industrial environment using state-of-the-art instruments, advanced computer systems and knowledge of programming and engineering.
This role is a hands-on design & development, working with both message based integrations. The role will be accountable to deliver designs & development of business applications, platforms and portals.
The successful candidate will work with portfolio managers and quantitative researchers to ensure all models and data sets are produced on time and develop automated and scalable solutions for monitoring and managing our ever growing business-critical data.
You will be responsible to track project plans and be able to be flexible and balance priorities to support goals and targets while providing the customer answers and data in support of business decisions.
The Senior Security Engineer works under minimal supervision and will perform information security tasks commensurate with their experience that ensure applications and projects meet defined quality standards.
Independently works on small and large moderately complex projects that require increased skill in multiple technical environments and disciplines, that have system wide impact and that may integrate across the organization.
This individual would be the "face" of IT/Software Development in the Hartford area; they will be required to interact with end users/call center on a regular basis as well as develop strong, quality code.
