In this role, you will be responsible for installing system software, maintenance, break fix activities, operating instructions and maintenance procedures, performing impact assessments, project planning and design activities, determining future requirements of hardware/software, cost estimation and assisting with trade studies for new systems.
In this role, the selected candidate will develop remediation scripts to automate as much as possible; evaluate, test, and define configuration item stack for all hardware and software components within the architecture specific to Unix/Linux derivative operating system servers.
The LINUX System Administrator is responsible for the operation, maintenance and 24x7x365 support of the high availability server/database/SAN platforms located in both local & remote Data Centers across multiple time zones.
This System Administration position will be part of a team responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining Linux servers, performing software installations and upgrades to operating systems and COTS and monitoring and tuning the system to achieve optimum levels of performance across multiple program development, integration, test and deliverable environments.
