Lead the Contracts Management function for the Mission Solutions Line of Business (LOB) within Space Systems Company (SSC). Serve as valued business leader and partner with Programs, business development, functional counterparts and LOB/SSC leadership to drive creative business solutions.
Program Managers are responsible for the day-to-day operation of a program, function or work unit, including the Development and implementation of processes consistent with college, school or departmental strategies and processes.
The Manager, Contracting position manages and reduces spend in a variety of direct and indirect spend categories. This position works with various key teammates within the company, including senior management. Requires strategic thinking and high level of analytics.
Own decisions that require an in-depth knowledge of Schwab and the mutual fund industry more broadly. Demonstrate the ability to quickly research and obtain critical information that is required for decision-making.
In this role, you will manage team to ensure all contracts are renewed prior to expiration on a monthly basis, by engaging with customers, partners and Field Sales to pro-actively ensure accurate quotations are sent to customers.
In this role, the selected candidate will be responsible for managing a team of business finance and estimating personnel ensuring contractual compliance, cost management, budget development and analyses, financial estimating and proposal development.
Desired skills Demonstrated experience and success in leading teams of Contracts professionals. Substantial, demonstrated experience in international/commercial negotiation environments is strongly desired. Ability to travel internationally as required to support such opportunities/contracts is an essential element of the position. Current SCI clearance, or ability to obtain a clearance, is an essential element of the position.
Performs proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contact activities to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications.
