Monitor business use and performance of the Teradata data warehouse and provides feedback to data warehouse DBAs, ETL developers and provide mentoring and assistance in sql tuning to business partners and users.
The Sr. SQL DBA will be responsible for the management of databases in all stages of production, database maintenance activities, troubleshooting database-related issues, monitoring of database capacity and performance, provision of technical expertise on database design, configuration of database servers including SAN disk subsystems, ensuring proper database releases and actualizations, and collaboration with developers and support staff to assure a high-quality product.
Enterprise Service Bus (ESB), Big Data ecosystem including Hadoop, HBASE, NoSQL, MPP databases, Machine Learning, and Data Visualization, Business Process Management (BPM), Legacy Modernization Strategy, and Systems Integration with specific subject matter expertise in the Health and Human Services industries.
Assist with the development of DB standards and design new systems and procedures to make efficient use of available resources. Design, install and maintain complex databases including all aspects of high availability, backup/recovery, security, integrity, performance tuning.
Work with cross-functional teams to build the logical database area and provide technical guidance during all phases of the development process. Work with vendors in evaluating and implementing new technologies.
Perform periodic on-call duty as part of a team maintaining the availability and performance of the Turn Campaign and Audience platform, as well as the various internal services and systems that these core services.
Design, develop and test new data interfaces and database developments Research industry standards and formulate best practices and frameworks for database deployment, administration and various related architecture and development processes.
