As a teammate in an acute setting, you will typically be the only dialysis nurse in the hospital during your shift. You are not alone though. You will work very closely with the hospital staff each day to assess, troubleshoot, and make sound decisions for critically ill patients.
Be responsible for providing direct patient care in the clinic as well as facilitating patient care flow. This position will facilitate the workflow in the area by conducting nursing assessments, delegating service to and documentation. In addition, this staff member will contribute expertise in the areas of patient scheduling, telephone advice and pharmacy needs.
In this role, you will be responsible for
supporting and driving FVC quality standards through meeting regulatory and accrediting body requirements and the practice of Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI), including use of FVC/FMS CQI tools.
Provides direct patient care within the scope of his/her practice. Patient care includes assessment, planning and implementing a plan of care and evaluating patients' progress towards expected outcomes.
In this role, the selected candidate will report adverse patient events at home or in the clinic, as well as equipment and technology related problems to the Clinical Manager/Home Therapy Program Manager, and physician including the correct documentation of such events.
