The Engineering Program Manager 2 (EPM 2) is responsible for managing the execution of complex hardware development programs. He/she is responsible for creating and executing the product development schedule process in the context of product requirements and specifications, managing the communication of a large cross-functional team, and managing risks associated with product delivery.
This position will manage projects from entitlements through construction. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the preparation and review of engineering studies necessary for grading, sanitary sewer, drainage and water systems.
The ideal candidate can act as a full partner with each of these teams and drive the execution of features and systems on which they work. A firm grasp of project management is essential to this position.
Responsible for execution of engineering development projects by managing tasks associated with project planning, risk management, recurring and non-recurring cost control, scheduling, intra-departmental communication/planning and customer support.
Prepare, analyze, and evaluate technical governance policy and processes for developing systems related to US Navy Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence (C4I). Participate in engineering technical program management support to the Navy client, requiring technical review of acquisition documentation and coordinating across multiple program offices and acquisition organizations.
Manage technical and project level risk processes as well as internal scope and change control activities; comply with company product lifecycle management process expectations and similar industry standards.
Establishes and implements project management processes and methodologies for the Engineering community to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, adheres to high quality standards and meets customer expectations.
