In this role, you will work with Technical Directors and other senior engineers to architect and refine game server systems and work with designers, artists and other personnel involved in the development of products as required.
The candidate must also strongly appreciate and understand the impact of code/environmental changes on the business unit; excellent working knowledge of the following technologies: Java, Databases (DB2, Sybase), Integration (JSon/Soap/Xml/Messaging).
In this role, the selected candidate will span all phases of development from user interaction and requirements gathering to design and coding to performance testing, rollouts and some production support.
In this role, the selected candidate will design, author, maintain, and refactor game systems that meet all design, technical, and schedule requirements; work closely with QA and technical leadership to ensure the stability and accuracy of game systems by identifying, communicating, and resolving defects.
In this role, you must have strong analytical and problem solving skills with advanced knowledge of spreadsheets, databases and presentation software, including MS Access, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint.
In this role, the selected candidate will analyze existing features in the engine and available tools and suggest improvements by designing and implementing new systems whenever necessary; develop tools and reports to increase visibility and productivity within the team.
In this role, the selected candidate must have the ability to work in a team (including cross regional) and the ability to build relationships with customers is a must; ability to understand customer requirements and take ownership of problems through to resolution is also important.
