Projects assigned will entail hands-on work in the area of precision mechanical engineering. Primary activities may include: engineering assignments that may involve equipment or product design; testing of materials; preparation of specifications; process studies or research investigations.
Leading design engineering trade studies in a structured, detailed manner, within a cross functional environment to identify and recommend solutions meeting technical, cost, quality and schedule requirements.
Assist the network infrastructure team in buildout of new or expanded areas within manufacturing areas. Order and install switches, firewalls, or routers as appropriate. Using existing designs and policies, configure and test equipment before putting into production.
Design of various building systems including but not limited to piping, plumbing, hydronic heating, air conditioning, ventilation, cooling systems, natural gas, Fire Protection and Building Automation Systems.
Evaluates customer technical specifications and drawings to determine process or product applicability and reproducibility; and determines the appropriate methods for fabricating and bonding materials.
Responsible for the delivery of high quality off-air, satellite, microwave, and digital transport programming up to the outside plant (point of demarcation from ISP facilities) utilizing, maintaining and installing a variety of optical and electrical interfaces including but not limited to coaxial cable, microwave, fiber optic transmission, CAT 6 to name a few typical technologies.
