The nurse leader position supports the nurse manager and unit staff as follows. In collaboration with unit/service nursing leadership, serves as a role model and resource for nursing personnel, and promotes collaboration with physicians, nurses, and other health disciplines in the management of the unit and needs of patients and families.
Perform administrative responsibilities: i.e. update patient charts, billing codes and completing of required documents from outside agencies: i.e. schools, employers, New York State Department of Social Services, etc.
Identify, select, or develop appropriate training programs, including the selection or design of appropriate training aids.Evaluate effectiveness of training programs and location including cost/benefit analyses.
The RN - Nurse Supervisor is responsible for supervising nursing personnel to deliver nursing care and within scope of practice coordinates care delivery, which will ensure that patient's needs are met in accordance with professional standards of practice through physician orders, center policies and procedures, and federal, state and local guidelines.
This position provides clinical oversight, coordination, leadership, and direction for all current clinical applications and future Cerner Phases. All clinical applications that incorporate the aspects of CPOE, EMAR and Clinical Documentation. Provide superior customer service by modeling the Brand Promise and Core Values.
