This position is responsible for providing customer related tax reporting guidance on various financial products (i.e. retirement plans, annuities and life insurance). Providing guidance includes indirectly responding to customer inquiries, acting as a subject matter expert on projects, advising on business documentation and developing tax policies.
The Financial Reporting and SOX Compliance Accountant is primarily responsible for Sarbanes-Oxley compliance testing, monitoring maintaining internal controls and business processes, scoping and analysis and reporting.
In this role, you will assist with the month and year end close process, helping to ensure completeness of general ledger data. Prepares analysis and reconciliation of general ledger data for annual audit purposes, including reconciliation of general ledger data to subsidiary systems, as required.
The Senior Accountant will be primarily responsible for general ledger accounting including monthly close, journal entries and account reconciliation preparation as well as P&L analysis and other finance projects.
The Sr. Accountant develops, implements, and/or maintains one or more accounting systems. Through in-depth research and analysis, the incumbent reviews and interprets financial reporting requirements, rules and regulations.
In this role, you will manage post-award functions such as financial report review and submission; cost transfer approval; requisition approval; salary allocation approval; budget tracking; post-award data management; and sub recipient monitoring procedures.
The Senior Accountant assists with the general accounting function including preparing journal entries, billing, contract and intercompany accounting and account reconciliations. This position holder also helps with monthly closings and account analysis and provides support in carrying out the responsibilities of the accounting department.
In this role, you will assist project team members in creating purchase orders, reviewing terms and conditions, ensuring appropriate insurance certificates are requested and received, and ensuring appropriate lien administration.
In this role, you will assist senior leadership in the annual budgeting and planning process; administer and review all financial plans and compare to actual results with a view to identify, explain, and correct variances as appropriate.
