The candidate will be responsible for establishing software test standards and methods and conducts software tests and review and evaluate software products and services for adherence to government directives, standards and guidelines concerning software quality assurance.
Under moderate supervision, verifies that software changes submitted by developers function as documented and without errors. Participate on quality projects and processes within department/team. Documents issues found during testing and follows through to resolution.
Provide maintenance support and some software development for the sustainment phase of the JBCP program. Maintain the custom Linux operating system and apply appropriate security configurations using configuration management tools.
Assist with the Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) program; to include dissemination, monitoring, and tracking of IAVM notifications to customers; review of IAVM Plan of Action and Milestones; and provide technical assistance as required.
Participate in the DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) involving the identification, assessment and authorization (formerly certification and accreditation), evaluation and analysis, and reporting of the compliance and residual risk of DoD and PM Apache information systems (tactical and non-mission) to governing security regulations.
The QA Analyst certifies and assures the quality of new and existing products by executing test plans and scripts to verify that new or modified software programs function according to user requirements and conform to established guidelines.
