Support the full lifecycle of systems development for avionics products including concept design, system architecture, definition and management of requirements, modeling and simulation, managing suppliers, managing cost and schedule, System Integration Laboratory (SIL) integration, aircraft integration, verification, and flight testing.
This position requires professional knowledge of Expendable Launch Vehicle (ELV) systems and their manufacturing processes. The engineer must have the ability to perform independent ELV systems analyses, assembly, testing, production and launch operations.
Responsible for providing construction/manufacturing engineering support to GA EMS programs/projects, such as CVN 79 Electromagnetics Aircraft Launch Systems (EMALS) and Advanced Arresting Gear (AAG) production, Jet Car Track Site (JCTS) and Runway Arrested Landing Site (RALS), high voltage capacitors, radiation monitoring systems, Gulftronic separator systems, and missile defense systems.
Develops, implements and maintains methods, operation sequences and processes in the manufacture or fabrication of parts, components, sub-assemblies and final assemblies while providing production engineering support services directly to manufacturing.
The Engineer will develop new missile CAD models and maintain or update existing missile CAD models. The Engineer will coordinate and communicate with model users and respond to requests for information such as dimensions, mass properties, what-if scenarios, etc.
An Electrical Design Engineer is expected to support a products electrical design activity from requirements definition through initial production. At the Staff level, the employee is expected to perform these duties independently in one or more complex technical areas with little or no supervision and be able to adapt skills to new technologies and new technical areas.
The Mechanical PE performs technical activities on assigned projects including participation in technical studies, investigations and designs; significant experience in complex Building Energy Engineering with knowledge of HVAC and Central Energy Plant design.
Designs are verified against requirements using both directed test and constrained random methodologies and are supported from requirements definition through integration and test, and eventually production.
Coordinate delivery schedule of raw materials, sub-assemblies and required manufacturing/quality documentation from vendors. Monitors and reports on progress of material and manufactured parts availability.
