Work on individual projects or lead/participate on team projects; establish project requirements and develop project scope; design and develop complete control systems for process equipment and measurement systems.
The individual will be responsible for algorithm development and tuning of microprocessor based Controllers. They will also be responsible for the development of Rapid Prototype controls for advanced projects on firing and motored engines on our dyno and emission cells.
Designing, developing and implementing tests for both REST API services and Web Applications via automated testing methods. The services will be primarily hosted in Windows, use multiple networking protocols, and integrate with legacy client/server applications.
Interface and work with the Research, Development and Manufacturing teams that are involved in the innovation and manufacture of new products and machine systems for any of companys Divisions including Science and Technology (R&D).
Lead and/or participate on project teams to develop new manufacturing technology for the purposes of reducing product variation, enablement of new technology, and / or increasing capacity at a manufacturing site.
Managing administrative and documentation requirements for tasks such as software revisions, downloading configuration changes, graphics development and modification, and implementing software changes of design.
The successful candidate's primary responsibility will be planning and performing audits in manufacturing, assembly, test, and inspection areas; responsibilities will include trend analysis, assisting in root cause analysis, and recommending corrective and preventive activities.
Support execution and documentation of development and/or validation studies and lead or supervise groups and/task force in the planning of engineering, investigational, definition and process validation runs.
Provide process understanding and technical support for pollution abatement systems supporting optical fiber manufacturing;solve process issues through data analysis, experimentation, and collaboration with subject matter experts.
