Designs and develops specifications of varying complexity, dependent on experience, from which complete sets of programs can be written. This may include any/all of the following: documentation of program descriptions, functions and interfaces.
Work closely with business partners to define strategies for technical solutions, determine requirements, and develop functional designs based on the analysis of line of business needs, objectives and existing systems infrastructure.
Provide data element naming consistent with standards and conventions and ensure that data dictionaries are maintained across multiple database environments (e.g., host based, client server, distributed systems, Web and e-commerce).
Collaborates with the Global Account Manager(s) on strategic and/or large and complex opportunities and coordinates additional resources (e.g. consulting specialists, demo labs, etc.) to recommend, develop, and propose appropriate customer solution and services offerings.
The ideal candidate is familiar with coding both front end user interfaces and batch data processing, is analytical and collaborative, enjoys the challenge of learning new systems and keeps current with IT industry trends and software options.

The functional business analyst, part of a team of three, is responsible for the functional understanding of the various information systems that support the business processes of the Registrars Office.
Elicit and document requirements using a variety of methods including interviews, document analysis, requirements gathering meetings, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, user stories, business analysis, and task / workflow analysis.
Provide trouble shooting and technical assistance to user community. Provide training on new applications and for new employees as required. Maintain adequate documentation on interfaces and job streams.
Ability to execute all major SDLC components including functional and technical requirements specifications, configuration / development, testing, implementation, and maintenance of system solutions that meet the requirements of the business. Utilize development, other IT team or external resources when appropriate, to help deliver the solution.
