Proficiency and ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional / technical procedures. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of clients, managers, designers, and engineers.
Identify, develop, and implement control strategies, instrumentation and systems to maintain and improve the operating unit(s) assigned; work in project environment to identify, design and implement process controls to meet the project objectives.
Work closely with the Plant Engineer to identify equipment performance issues; work closely with the Manufacturing Engineer in identifying opportunities for new or upgraded equipment, and developing operating standards for new or upgraded equipment.
Duties include but are not limited to engineering calculations for the selection and specification of boilers, pumps, chillers, controls, heat exchangers, and other mechanical equipment, and preparing construction documents.
Responsible for delivering business results using defined commercial strategies to deliver above average profitability on the technical sale of industrial gases, technology, services, and equipment into the Metals Processing Industry.

The Plant Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for developing and delivering projects for replacement of or major repairs to plant equipment. He/she will also work with the other Engineering Functions to develop operating procedures and manuals as well as reliability plans for new or overhauled equipment.
Management responsibilities include supervision of design and drafting staff, coordination with clients and associates, and organization of design and construction administration activities to meet established schedules and budgets.
