The Systems Administrator is responsible for the installation, configuration, administration, and maintenance of the hardware and operating systems on a mixture of high availability systems that support the administrative operations of the Organization.
In this role, the selected candidate will perform system administration tasks on the environment, installation of new software releases, system upgrades, patches, information assurance responsibilities, documentation, and resolution of software related problems associated with the P25 system.
In this role, the selected candidate will provide second and third level support troubleshooting user problems with applications, e.g., slow processing, apparent malfunctions, explanation of vendor technical documents.
In this role, you will interpret and/or discuss information with others, which involves terminology or concepts not familiar to many people; regularly provide advice and recommend actions involving rather complex issues.
In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing support for multiple iSeries based application environments (both RDC and SUS) that include production, training, development, software quality, and test.
In this role, the selected candidate must be able to set goals, prioritize work assignments and perform tasks independently as well as solve problems in a timely manner and communicate resolutions to others.
