The Accounting Manager is responsible for all assigned areas of financial reporting. This position develops and maintains accounting principles, practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial transactions are performed, while also addressing tight deadlines and a multitude of accounting activities including general ledger preparation, financial reporting, month and year end audit preparation and the support of budget and forecast activities.
The Senior Accounting Manager will oversee the accounting policies and procedures and the financial reporting for multiple business units as well as corporate accounting, and report into the Corporate Controller.
This position is responsible for the oversight of several functional areas such as: Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and Financial Reporting. The position interacts with various departments throughout the company to resolve payable and receivable issues as well as reporting financial results and general ledger activity.
The selected candidate will manage the accuracy and productivity of the day-to-day accounting operations including supervising staff and maintaining proper internal controls over processes and transactions.
In this role, the selected candidate will analyze financial and accounting activity, and use information to forecast and prepare budgets, and create and control organizational performance metrics that will assist management in making educated economic decisions about the company's future.
In this role, you will work with Foundation leadership in planning for research, administration, and fundraising. Manage part-time financial assistant as well as all collaborative study contract staff.
In this role, you will manage Corporate Accounting staff and functions to include general accounting, coordination with Operations accounting regarding accounting close and reporting matters, consolidations and monthly reporting.
