The accountant is responsible for applying accepted accounting principles and procedures to analyze financial information. Must prepare journal entries; maintain the balance sheet schedules and ledgers, prepare bank reconciliations, and prepare variance analysis.
We are looking for a revenue accountant to perform various revenue functions related to our oil and gas assets in north dakota and montana. The revenue accountants primary responsibilities include preparing monthly revenue accruals and journal entries, monthly revenue account reconciliations, monthly financial analysis, and prior period adjustments (ppas).
The project accountant position is accountable for monitoring the progress of projects, investigating variances, approving expenses, and ensuring that project billings are issued to customers and payments collected.
Analysis and reporting supporting field service operations and shop operations including forecasting, margin analyses, make versus buy analyses, inventory analysis, month end closing, cost center variance analyses.
Supports the Fixed Asset department; prepares audit schedules relating to fixed assets and assists auditors in their inquiries; ensure that all monthly SOX support is maintained and readily available for Internal Controls; other duties as assigned.
In this role, the selected candidate will prepare and examine accounting records, financial statements, taxes, and other financial reports; develop and analyze reporting for business operations and budgets.
Work with the Procurement and Finance business divisions to identify, review, and account for all leases on a monthly basis. Document conclusions regarding whether the leases are in or out of scope based on interpretive guidance provided by the accounting standard and other guidance.
Analyze and investigate financial information to identify inconsistencies and/or errors; ensure accuracy of financial statement disclosures; coordinate with other departments to obtain quarterly schedules and/or financial statement support.
