The Accounting Reporting & Control Analyst role offers an opportunity to gain an understanding of BP Upstream operations as it relates to Upstream Functions above region teams. The role will provide exposure to key accounting and control processes and activities.
The accountant is expected to be competent in the application of standard procedures and requirements to routine transactions, to raise questions about unusual or questionable items, and to suggest solutions with immediate supervisor.
In this role, you will perform data entry and related duties in the calculation, preparation and issuance of invoices. This includes maintaining ledgers, credit balances, and resolving account irregularities.
In this role, the selected candidate will provide business function support in various power delivery settings in addition, develop processes to satisfy the needs and requirements of a diverse financial group that utilize a variety of O&M, Capital and/or balance sheet and clearing accounts.
In this role, the selected candidate will act as a liaison between Hines ownership, the local in-country accounting team & region offices as necessary; prepare tax schedules and projections for external and/or internal tax accountants.
