The Systems Safety Engineer will focus on the prevention of unplanned events that have the potential to harm people, property, or the environment. The successful candidate will provide specialized safety input to the design process, thus ensuring that safety requirements are properly integrated into project planning, design criteria, construction plans and specifications and subcontracts.
Responsible for properly identifying customer problems and issues, researching program requirements, and determining the most effective solution given technical qualifications and contractual requirements.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of employees, managers, vendors, customers, and the general public.
Report to and maintain frequent communication with the Project Safety and Security Manager to provide technical resource guidance, and to ensure consistent implementation of HSE process tools that support the Construction Safety and Security Plan and objectives.
