Updates and backups; coordinate network operations, maintenance, repairs, and upgrades, and the installation of new equipment; perform tcp/ip network troubleshooting including routing, dns, http, and major protocols; and mentor, train, and provide direction to junior-level engineers.
Resource will be responsible for collecting needed data to document, plan, coordinate, and execute production changes. This requires working with change requestors/sponsors from various technology teams, understanding the type of change requested, identifying and remediating risks associated with the change, and interfacing with release management and other technology partners to properly plan and execute the change in production.
Coordinate release content and effort based on the service request backlog, pending service requests, third party applications, or operating system updates Communicate all key project plans, commitments, and changes including requirements, QA plans, schedule, and scope changes Manage relationships and coordinate work between different teams at different locations.
Lead and coordinate the Go-Live activities including the execution of the deployment plans and checklists; monitor execution of PVT activities to ensure release build is good for commercialization of the release.
In this role, the selected candidate will work collaboratively with regional and country business and IT teams, IT Capability Lead, Business Relationship Managers, Business SMEs, and development teams (on-shore and off-shore) to identify, verify and document functional and technical requirements.
A Release Manager must have experience in management of individual releases of software, hardware or other system components. Must have experience in coordinating with QA, Development, packaging and hardware teams.
