The Clinical Nurse II is responsible for assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation & documentation of care provided, and patient response to interventions. The Clinical Nurse II promotes image enhancement of the organization and its service.
In this role, you will be responsible for initiating and consistently evaluating the appropriateness of member/patient level outpatient specialty referrals; maintaining the efficiency and integrity of the referral process, and to monitor the quality of outcomes with a primary focus on outpatient Specialty service referral processing.
In this role, you will evaluate assigned patients and plans, implements and documents nursing care. Assists physicians during examinations and procedures. Performs various patient tests and administers medications within the scope of practice of the registered nurse. Promotes patients' independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills.
The Clinical Nurse II provides direct care to patients who may range in age from infancy to the elderly and demonstrates competency within the domains of clinical judgment and decision-making, nurse-patient/family relationship, clinical leadership, and clinical scholarship.
