In this role, you will ability necessary to evaluate and determine health status of patient and implement proper care plan. Interpersonal skills necessary to interview, teach and counsel patients; instruct health care personnel on procedures and treatment.

Assist in surgery under direct supervision of the attending surgeon; serves as First Assist in OR; performs the following functions in surgery: retract; suction; sponge; clamp, tie, & cauterize vessels; suture skin, ligate & tie vessels, muscles, and subcutaneous closure; assists in such additional functions as may be deemed appropriate by attending surgeon; adheres to aseptic techniques.
Performs H & P''s on all operative and non-operative admissions, initiates general work-ups, communicates findings to attending physicians, instructs and counsels patients. Serves as First Assist on all procedures assigned, which may include General, Vascular, Neuro, Orthopedic, Thoracic, Urology, and Obstetrical/Gynecologic.
The PA will work closely with the Principal Investigators, Physician Assistant, and Research Coordinators to implement vaccine trials in adult human subjects according to good clinical practice guidelines.
The CRNP / PA will collaborate with the physician in providing safe care with optimal outcomes for the patient and must have the necessary knowledge, skills, and judgment specific to clinical practice.
