The individual is responsible for defining and supporting the project data architecture standards. He or she will provide Oracle and SQL Server database administration and be responsible for updates to/maintenance of database tables, indices, structures, and other components.
The primary function of this role will be to support the development of applications for our Violations Processing and Payments systems. Individual will be responsible for the design, development, maintenance, documentation and support of our Oracle databases and data warehouse.
Diagnose and resolve day-to-day database, network, and firewall issues; collaborate with various teams in developing system hardware layouts, configuring firewall rules, tuning, and load testing of mission-critical Oracle systems.
The selected candidate will implement and maintain multiple Oracle Applications environment with RAC architecture. Experience in applying all types of Oracle patches in R12 environment, that includes security, CPU and regular Oracle Apps patches.
The applicant will be working with the application developers on correct database access procedures and will be asked to write and debug Java code. The applicant may also support the test team by developing scripts that provide scenario data for their environment.
