The HR Specialist will apply comprehensive knowledge of HR management to process a wide range of HR transactions related to recruitment and placement, classification, employee relations, human resource development, and/or incentive awards. The HR Specialist will perform all HR tasks with an emphasis on providing federal agency managers and employees with outstanding customer service.
The HR Specialist will be responsible for the onboarding of new employees, ensuring an exceptional, seamless and positive experience with College through the coordination of all new hire onboarding activities.
In this role, you will maintain the Job Request Cover Sheet Binder, which, in conjunction with a Standardized Job Description, officially indicates the job-specific criteria that reflect the unique utilization of a particular position within the context of an organizations mission.
The HR Specialist will create and drive the new employee onboarding process for a WOW experience involving the facilitation of new hire orientation, pre-employment screenings, job training, mentor assignments, stay interviews, onboarding assessment to determine ROI and ensuring there is a smooth transition with department orientations.
In this role, you will serve as subject matter expert and point of contact for hr systems and technology which includes the satisfactorily system related inquiries and requests from department heads and other business stakeholders.
In this role, you will coordinate all aspects of the day-to-day employment transactions within the HRIS, including processing new hires, separations, performance reviews, employment verifications, and benefit enrollments.
