The RN - Nurse Supervisor is responsible for supervising nursing personnel to deliver nursing care and within scope of practice coordinates care delivery, which will ensure that patient's needs are met in accordance with professional standards of practice through physician orders, center policies and procedures, and federal, state and local guidelines.
The individual in this unique position will serve as liaison for the Penn Hospital Care group and the patients of their practice until these patients are entered into a follow-up system with their regular/new healthcare provider upon discharge from the inpatient service.

Possesses the knowledge & skills level of basic and complex invasive procedures which may include: percutaneous coronary intervention (pci), stents, iabp placement and operation and peripheral interventions. Responsible for patient safety in the ccl and must be able to recognize cardiac arrhythmias and respond according to emergency protocols, operate external cardiac pacemaker and defibrillator. Intervenes with appropriate therapy in the event of cardiac emergencies.
The RN assesses, plan, implements and evaluates patient care and in collaboration with other health care professionals and in accordance with licensure standards. The RN provides leadership in maintaining standards of patient care, customer service, and direction of the multidisciplinary patient care team.
Provides nursing care consistent with the nursing practice standards, policies and procedures established by the unit, department, division, and institution, professional ethics and standards, and legal requirements.
