Support the JPL Systems Safety Program Office in providing customer-oriented safety engineering consulting to JPL Project Offices to assist, advise, develop, and implement efficient and effective safety programs; generate safety plans effective for the life-cycle of the project. Evaluate and assess hazards associated with systems design (hardware and software) and operations, and lead the project in implementation of appropriate mitigation techniques.
Individual would support the conduct of the Cross Programs Flight Operations Acceptance Test Procedures (ATPs) such as engine run, taxi, and flight events. The support would be in the creation and execution of test cards, test plans, test summary reports, flash reports, briefings and debriefings.
Develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods, utilizing knowledge of product design, materials and parts, fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality control standards.
Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test procedures and test reports, along with providing a testability analysis of the requirements and an evaluation for completeness of the test program for all levels of testing.
The candidate will operate system equipment and test sets, support software checkout and troubleshooting, support requirement definition and testability and interact with other engineering disciplines.
The STE Hardware Development - candidate will be responsible for leading a diverse team of engineers applying the latest technology and concepts in design, development and integration of System Test Equipment (including RF Test equipment) for EW programs.
Analyze project objectives and requirements, develop plans for conducting projects, provide support for the project safety review process, including participation in the development of Failure Modes and Effects Analysis, documentation of hazards, and the specification and implementation of mitigations to those hazards.
