The Business Systems Analyst identifies and presents business and technical specifications based on customer and business needs, industry best practices and available technology. Implements processes, systems and applications to meet the companys business initiatives.
Interact with clients' business subject matter experts for requirements gathering and analytical development; the Business Systems Analyst will be responsible for creation of the Business Requirement Documents (BRD's).
Create technical functional specifications from business process requirements; play an active role in requirements definition and capture in standard templates, testing process, validation of systems to match business requirements, training and implementation.
Perform end to end interface scoping, technical documentation, design, develop and test scenario documents in collaboration with functional IT teams; ensure thorough end to end testing of interfaces prior to production.
A strong BSA understands enterprise technology to drive technology solution in collaboration with architects and SMEs. Working with development and testing team to deliver a high quality software product.
Maintain data and system security in compliance with Secure Technical Implementation Guides and Security Requirements Guides; develop and maintain project schedules. Report status on own projects and tasks.
Consults with management and staff to identify and document business needs and objectives, current operational procedures, problems, input and output requirements, data scope, usage, formatting, and security requirements.
Writes and maintains functional specifications for new or modified business systems. Creates or assists others in the writing of user documentation, instructions, and procedures. Monitors and documents post-implementation problems and revision requests.
