This Senior Counsel will be part of a legal team that supports Amgen's Business Development group in a variety of life sciences transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, collaborations.
This Senior Counsel will be part of a legal team that supports companys Business Development group in a variety of life sciences transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, collaborations, and in-licenses and out-licenses involving biotech and pharmaceutical products and technology, while working closely with other company functional groups (R&D, Finance, Operations, Commercial), and coordinating with various members of the Law Department.
The Senior Counsel will be responsible for advising Amgens commercial operations on a wide variety of issues concerning the sale, and promotion of biopharmaceutical products in the United States as well as activities with the healthcare community conducted by Amgens scientific affairs organization.
This Senior Counsel will have direct involvement and shared responsibility in all aspects of U.S. and international patent disputes, in both judicial and administrative tribunals, from initial issue identification through resolution.
Working in partnership with outside counsel and other in-house attorneys and staff, the Senior Counsel will develop and drive case strategies as an active team member, including all infringement, validity, and enforceability positions, and as needed, freedom to operate analysis.
The Senior Counsel will develop, implement and execute a global intellectual property strategy for Amgen's therapeutic products and product candidates (e.g., antibodies and other large molecules), including formulations, process development or manufacturing methods relating to Amgen's pipeline and in-line products.
The Senior Counsel will develop, implement and execute a market access strategy for Amgens biosimilar molecules, including freedom-to-operate analyses for drug substance, drug product, formulations, processes and labeled indications.
