Responsible for all systems engineering activities on the program including management of the SE IPT to include budget and staffing tracking, requirements decomposition, tracking, validation and verification, system architecture and operations concept development, risk management, program plans, master schedules, processes and documentation, configuration management, reliability, maintainability and supportability, EMI/EMC, tracking of parts ensuring environmental qualification requirements are satisfied and program reviews and deliverables.
Ensure that all the design specifications have been met, design reviews conducted with good participation from all concerned stakeholders, and that all tests have been conducted at the factory and the site, all installed software has been catalogued, and change control policies and procedures are established and followed.
Interpret, understand and provide feedback on software requirements for a project. Perform requirement analysis to determine completeness and compliance with software system. Ability to work with requirement management tools.
In this role, the selected candidate must have an excellent verbal and written communication skills. Capable of presenting complicated design concepts. Ability to communicate effectively, with customers, vendors, and factory personnel.
Coordinate / perform systems engineering responsibilities IAW DOD SE Standards develop, allocate, track, document system and derived requirements. Conduct SRR, PDR, CDR and technical reviews IAW DOD and NavSea Standards.
The candidate will be responsible for design development of Radar Warning Receiver (RWR) systems derived from system level requirements, developing associated architectures, implementing design, performing simulations, analysis and testing of associated hardware in a laboratory or chamber setting.
Performs complex systems development and design work that may include logic design, I/O design, firmware development, model formulation, manufacturing and development cost projections, computer architecture analysis and design, and analog or digital systems engineering.
The candidate will support PBL sustainment activities, applying innovative solutions to complex technical problems associated technical trouble shooting of existing STE Software, and be responsible to verify that all delivered STE products meet all program and customer requirements on a continuous basis.
