Coordinate / perform systems engineering responsibilities IAW DOD SE Standards develop, allocate, track, document system and derived requirements. Conduct SRR, PDR, CDR and technical reviews IAW DOD and NavSea Standards.
In this role, the selected candidate must have an excellent verbal and written communication skills. Capable of presenting complicated design concepts. Ability to communicate effectively, with customers, vendors, and factory personnel.
Interpret, understand and provide feedback on software requirements for a project. Perform requirement analysis to determine completeness and compliance with software system. Ability to work with requirement management tools.
Responsible for all systems engineering activities on the program including management of the SE IPT to include budget and staffing tracking, requirements decomposition, tracking, validation and verification, system architecture and operations concept development, risk management, program plans, master schedules, processes and documentation, configuration management, reliability, maintainability and supportability, EMI/EMC, tracking of parts ensuring environmental qualification requirements are satisfied and program reviews and deliverables.
Duties include creating, tracking, performing, and completing requirements, technical planning, analysis, verification and producing the final products. Leading the entire FAA Type Certification process, the FAA Production Certification process.
Performs complex systems development and design work that may include logic design, I/O design, firmware development, model formulation, manufacturing and development cost projections, computer architecture analysis and design, and analog or digital systems engineering.
The candidate will support PBL sustainment activities, applying innovative solutions to complex technical problems associated technical trouble shooting of existing STE Software, and be responsible to verify that all delivered STE products meet all program and customer requirements on a continuous basis.
Ensure that all the design specifications have been met, design reviews conducted with good participation from all concerned stakeholders, and that all tests have been conducted at the factory and the site, all installed software has been catalogued, and change control policies and procedures are established and followed.
The candidate will support the development of system architectures, design and architect EA and /or ES systems, perform system analysis, design, requirements flow down and specification, interface design, concept and configuration refinement and effectiveness analysis for a broad range of EW applications.
