In this role, you will analyze, research, design and develop materials and their related fabrication and application processes to develop and optimize materials for use in engineering design of and/or application in structures, systems and subsystems.
Develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods, utilizing knowledge of product design, materials and parts, fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality control standards.
Analyzes, researches, designs and develops materials and their related fabrication and application processes to develop and optimize materials for use in engineering design of and/or application in structures, systems and subsystems. Applies principles of chemistry, physics, and material behavior to develop metallic, non-metallic and composite material and processing specifications, fabrication and assembly processes.
In this role, the selected candidate will prepare detailed parts cost estimates for labor, materials, tooling requirements, test specification and material selections for existing business and new business inquiries.
In this role, the selected candidate will ensure effective utilization of labor and equipment resources via established production standards; maintain production labor standards and routings as defined in the ERP system.
Compiles and analyzes data (temperature, pressures, speed, horsepower, fuel consumption, etc.)and defines changes required in testing equipment, testing procedures, manufacturing processes, or new testing requirements.
The Manufacturing Engineer II will optimize and document all aspects of manufacturing processes by identifying improvement opportunities and applying simpler, faster, cost effective and reliable methods with a data-driven approach.
